Under the instruction of Mufti shaikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Imam-muhtasib Rashid hazrat Bultacheev, member of the Presidium of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Нead of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Ryazan region, participated in international summit of moderate Islamic leaders, which took place on 9–11 May in the capital of Indonesia.

At the summit  Rashid hazrat Bultacheev, Нead of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Ryazan region, conveyed the greetings of Mufti shaikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, spiritual leader of Russian Muslims.

During his speech he noted that Muslims have been living in different regions of Russia since the old days.

“There is a mosque with a minaret in the Kasimov town, where I was born. There used to be a Muslim khanate named after its founder, Qasim khan. Throughout all this time we, Muslims, and representatives of other religions coexist peacefully, treat each other with warmth and have no serious misunderstandings or disagreements. We cooperate productively with governmental and state institutions”, said Rashid hazrat Bultacheev.

He also reminded that Russia and Indonesia have been friends for a long time. “In 1956 the first President of Indonesia, Sukarno, visited Moscow, the capital of Russia. In 2012 a cooperation memorandum was signed between the Mufti shaikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the director of the biggest Muslim organization of Indonesia – Nahdat'ul ulama. RMC representatives visited Indoneasi many time on behalf of Mufti shaikh Ravil Gaynutdin, and Indoneaisan representatives also come to Russia. 25 students went to Indonesia to study. There are educational programmes on Islamic banking being conducted. Indonesian companies participate actively in the International Moscow Halal Expo exhibition. Indonesian Qur'an reciters take part annually in the Moscow International Qur'an recitation contest”, — he added.

The international summit of moderate Islamic leaders called "Islam: inspiration and solutions for peaceful civilization development" took place in Jakarta on 9-11 May 2016. Over 100 Muslim leaders from 35 Asian, Middle Eastern, European, African and American countries were invited to participate in the summit.
