A delegation of Russia Muftis Council headed by first deputy mufti Damir hazrat Gizatullin returned from Ankara today.

The delegation that visited Istanbul and Ankara included Moscow Jum'ah Mosque job captain Yuri Slesarev, chief architect Oleg Darbinyan, customer representatives on the construction side Kyamran Guseynov and Aleksei Skvortsov.

The objective of the four-day trip was to familiarize with the recent Turkish experience of constructing big modern mosques built since 2000.

Representative of the Ministry of Religion Mustafa hazrat Kütükçü accompanied the delegation during the trip that was filled by meetings and valuable new information.

In addition to acquiring general experience of building large mosque complexes, the delegation has finalized and prepared the texts of the contracts, according to which the Turkish party assumes responsibility for decorating the inner and outer walls of Moscow Jum'ah Mosque, the construction of which is going to enter decoration stage in the coming months.

This labout-consuming and important job will be done without charge, as a gift of Turkish people, Turkish Republic to the Muslims of Moscow and Russia.

During dhuhr prayer in the mosque of Ankara, Damir hazrat Gizatullin had an encounter with the Minister of Religion of the Turkish Republic Mr Mehmet Görmez, who conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council and asked spiritual leader of Russian Muslims to extend his best wishes to all Muslims of Russia.

Mutually beneficial cooperation of Russian and Turkish parts of the Ummah is the evidence of strengthening of friendship and partnership between Russian Federation and the Turkish Republic, further development of Russian-Turkish relations.
