Armed Nigerian militants attacked college students. 50 people died as a result of this dreadful attack.

Russia Muftis Council, Muslims of our country strongly denounce the actions of criminals who commit greatest sin of killing innocents using Islam as a cover for their actions. Islam curses murderers of innocents, for the Holy Qur’an says that even one murder equals the murder of all humankind.

Terrorists and murderers cannot be Muslims, they are merely beasts in human shape that will be severely punished by Almighty Allah in the Hereafter. The Holy Qur'an orders the believers to answer with kindness even to wrongdoers: "And not alike are the good and the evil. Repel (evil) with what is best, when lo! he between whom and you was enmity would be as if he were a warm friend" (Holy Qur'an, 41:34).

Russia Muftis Council, on behalf of all our Ummah, expresses deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.

We ask Almighty God to give patience to families of those who lost their near and dear ones in this horrible attack.
