Experts discuss investment into Malaysia A round table between representatives of Russian business circles on investment policies, economics and trade took place in Moscow on May 14, during the visit of the Minister of Economic Planning of Malaysia Mr E. P. Dato Seri Abdul Wahid Omar.

Discussion was devoted to the investment into the pearl of South East Asia, Malaysia. But why Malaysia? There are many reasons: today's Malaysia is a politically and economically stable, business-oriented country with well-developed infrastructure and English-speaking HR. Malaysia is also in the top 10 of world's most visit countries list of 2012 (according to UNWTO 2013) and places 24th in the global competitiveness report (WEF 2013).

Malaysian education, oil industry, electronics, information technologies and tourism are the prospective areas for investment, to name just a few from a long list.

The number of Russian tourists in Malaysia is also steadily increasing. For example, in 2013 the country was visited by 53 thousand Russians, compared to 40 thousand in 2011.

Within the framework of the round table, head of RMC economics department Madina Kalimullina voiced the question of strategy development for cooperation in halal industry between Malaysia and Russia.
