Meeting with Kuwaiti ambassador Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met with extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Kuwait in Russia Mr Abdulaziz al-Adwani in RMC residency.

The meeting was also attended by the head of RMC's International department Ildar hazrat Galeev. During the meeting, parties discussed issues pertaining to bilateral cooperation, mentioning the high level of relations uniting Russia Muftis Council, Spiritual Administration of Muslims of European Russia and the State of Kuwait for the last twenty years.

"After presenting my letters of credence to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and officially becoming the ambassador of Kuwait in Russian Federation, I am ready to support and develop close relations between Russia Muftis Council and our embassy, Ministry of Wakuf and Religious Affairs of Kuwait and official organizations of your country that my predecessors have built. We hope that the high level of cooperation in religious field will set the bar for us in all other areas as well," said Mr Adwani.

In his turn, RMC Chairman mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin thanked Kuwaiti side for active participation and support of such projects of Russia Muftis Council as Moscow International Qur'an Reciting Competition, International exhibition Moscow Halal Expo, Ramadan Tent, and for giving Russian imams and lecturers of Islamic universities and madrasahs an opportunity to receive professional training in Kuwait with the assistance of Islamic Center "Al-Wasatiyyah".

During the meeting, the parties also agreed on the importance of organizing collaborative Islamic theological and cultural conferences and forums to show society the true image and values of Islam, which are far from radicalism and terrorism.
