Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin departed to Istanbul on the high invitation of the Turkish side.

An awards ceremony "Serving the century of Islamic culture, award for honour and service", which has brought together many high guests, has opened in Haliç Congress Center today.

The ceremony coincided with the finish of such big projects as "Islamic encyclopedist", "Notes of Islamic Qadis", "Islam in hadith" that were aimed at acquainting general public with the Islamic world.

The ceremony was honoured with the presence of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
