A meeting between representatives of Russia Muftis Council and the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Mr Yousef al-Zajali took place in the embassy of Oman in Russian Federation.

Russia Muftis Council was represented by the director of International department Ildar hazrat Galeev, director of Economic department Madina Kalimullina and head of Halal development section Yusuf Rikov.

During the meeting, director of the International department of Russia Muftis Council Ildar hazrat Galeev has conveyed the greetings of RMC Chairman mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, told of the activities of Russia Muftis Council and passed on the letter for the administration of Sultan Qaboos University and the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.

Director of the Economic department of Russia Muftis Council Madina Kalimullina, in her turn, told of the Moscow Halal Expo exhibition. Omani ambassador Mr Yousef al-Zajali highly praised the efforts of Russia Muftis Council in the development of halal industry. "Halal industry is, before anything else, food, and development of this industry contributes to the improvement of public health," he said.

In the end of the meeting, Omani party presented RMC delegation with books about the mosques of Oman and marked plans for future cooperation.
