Deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council Rushan hazrat Abbyasov met with the new Matrade representative in Moscow, Mr Zaynutdin Jalil, in the trade mission of Malaysian embassy.

The meeting was also attended by deputy trade representative Hafiz Shariff, head of Economics Department of Russia Muftis Council Madina Kalimullina and expert in relations with international companies of Moscow Halal Expo Fatima Ausheva.

During the meeting, Rushan hazrat Abbyasov has conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin to Mr Jalil and his colleague. The parties have discussed prospective areas of collaboration and effective bilateral cooperation.

“In recent years, we’ve reached full understanding and built productive relationship with Malaysian representatives, and we hope that our cooperation will continue in future,” said deputy chairman of Russia Muftis Council.

Rushan hazrat Abbyasov told Mr Jalil of the activities organized by Russia Muftis Council, including international exhibition Moscow Halal Expo.

Head of RMC Economics Department Madina Kalimullina described economic activity of Russia Muftis Council, including the projects of developing Islamic finances and the International Center of Standardization and Certification “Halal”, which has been operating in halal industry for more than ten years. She also informed new Matrade representative of the history of their cooperation with Malaysia, saying that it has lasted for around ten years.

The Malaysian trade mission was invited to participate in fifth Moscow Halal Expo exhibition that will take place in June 2014.

In the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.
