A round table devoted to the problems of epidemiological safety of pilgrims took place in the building of Penza Regional Government.

It was attended by the Deputy Head of Government of Penza Oblast V. Maltsev, Head of the Government’s Internal Politics Directorate A. Elatontsev, Head of the Healthcare Department of the Ministry of Healthcare of Penza Oblast G. Rozhkov, chief specialist of regional government's Internal Politics Directorate O. Melnikova, Head of Hajj and Umrah Department of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Penza Oblast Rifat hazrat Abuzyarov, imam khatib of the Jum’ah mosque of Gorodische city Fyanil hazrat Dashkin and imam khatib of Bestyanka village mosque Islyam hazrat Davydov.

One of the problems discussed at the round table was the problem of epidemiological safety and timely vaccination of pilgrims from Penza Oblast.

According to Rifat hazrat Abuzyarov, on this year Muslims have completed their pilgrimage without any serious incidents and returned home safely, without any signs of illness.

“Every year, an experienced doctor, who is in charge of the group’s medical care, departs for Hajj with Russian pilgrims,” said Mr Abuzyarov.

Representatives of SAMPO reassured government officials that they will continue with vaccination and instruction of pilgrims before the trip.
