A meeting between Director of Economic Department of Russia Muftis Council Madina Kalimullina and the Senior Managers of Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) took place in Casablanca, Morocco.

ICDT is an organization established within the framework of Organization of Islamic Cooperation thirty years ago in order to promote trade and investment activities between OIC member countries. To achieve this, the organization arranges different conferences, seminars and exhibitions. Particularly in this year, ICDT provided informational support for IV International Exhibition “Moscow Halal Expo 2013” that took place in Moscow in the middle of June.

The representative of Russia Muftis Council, Director of Moscow Halal Expo Madina Kalimullina was received by ICDT General Director Dr El Hassane Hzaine, his advisor Housine Rahmouni and head of marketing department Abdulaziz Alami. During the course of the meeting, the parties discussed ways of further developing and strengthening relations between organizations, mechanisms of boosting trade and investment relations between Russian entrepreneurs working in halal industry and companies of the Muslim world. A big part of discussion was devoted to events organized under the auspices of ICDT and the International Exhibition “Moscow Halal Expo”.

Representatives of ICDT told of the forthcoming events around the world that planned and organized by the center. The most notable of them is Sharjah Halal Expo, which will take place on 16-18 December this year. It will be a perfect opportunity to come into the markets of Persian Gulf. Delegation of Russia Muftis Council and a number of Russian halal enterprises already stated their intention to take part in this event. Besides that, ICDT supports events in China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Tunis and Malaysia.

The parties also agreed on informational cooperation in spreading information about Russian halal companies on the markets of OIC member states.

In the end of the meeting, head of ICDT conveyed his greetings to the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
