After the Friday prayer in Moscow Jum'ah Mosque and celebration of Quds Day – international day of solidarity with Palestine – Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin had a meeting with Mufti of Istanbul Rahmi Yaran in RMC residency.

The meeting was attended by Sabri Demir, deputy of the Mufti of Turkey, Fahri Saglik, advisor of Turkish embassy on religious affairs, and members of RMC's international department.

It was especially noted in this meeting that the history of friendly relations between Muslims of Turkey and Russia dates centuries back, and that it has further strengthened after Russia's Muslims received their religious freedoms two decades ago.

Cooperation in construction activity, book publishing and education are the main areas that the cooperation will continue in.

During the holy month of Ramadan, tens of knowledgeable imams from Turkey were invited to Russia to aid in religious services.

An agreement was reached to open Center of Turkish language in Moscow Islamic University.

Turkey's expert calligraphers and designers will take part in decoration works – the last stage of the reconstruction of Moscow Jum'ah Mosque.

“We are sure that we can do a lot for the cause of spiritual revival in our countries,” said Rahmi Yaran.

Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin praised the Mufti of Istanbul for his just and constructive speech during today's Friday prayer in the praying hall of Moscow Jum'ah Mosque.

Later today, mufti Ravil Gaynutdin and mufti Rahmi Yaram will take part in the Day of Turkey in Ramadan Tent.
