Construction of Mosque #10 in the village of Srednyaya Elyuzan (Urta Alazan) in Penza Oblast is nearing its end. The mosque will be located on Severnaya street.

IslamRF.ru, citing IA “PenzaInform”, reports that the new mosque will be able to hold 1000 believers. The building will have praying halls, study rooms and an ablution room. The gross area of the mosque equals 1000 square meters, while the minaret is 29 meters high.

The mosque is built entirely on donations of the villagers. Some 1,5 million rubles more are needed to finish the building.

“We hope that this mosque will be put into operation in short time. Let us bring this moment closer by helping to raise money for the minaret and the dome,” said a representative of Spiritual Administration of Muslims.
