From 20 to 26 August the capital of Algeria will host the International competition of reciters of the Quran, that annually gathers participants from all over the world. Such competition in Algiers is one of the most respected in the Maghreb.

Russia is represented by a 20-year-old graduate of Dagestan Madrasse Magomed Aligadjiev. Magomed also took part in the competitions of the Quran reciters in the UAE and Libya. This year he will compete with other participants in the nomination of "hifz" - reciting the text of the Holy Quran by heart.
