The Supreme Mufti of Kyrgyzstan about the Council of Muftis of the CIS: There is a real work on cooperation.

November 14-15 in Moscow, the VII Muslim Forum, which brought together leaders and representatives of the Muslim Spiritual Board of the CIS countries, took place. A Correspondent of the portal "Islam in the CIS" in Kyrgyzstan Roman Veytsel talked with the Chairman of DUM Kyrgyzstan, with the chief mufti of the Republic Chubak azhy Zhalilov about the results and prospects of the Forum for the Muslims of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.

How do you think of the idea of establishing the Council of Muftis and Ulema Council of the CIS countries?

This idea was proposed by the Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Ravil Gaynutdin at the VII Muslim Forum in Moscow. And then not only our delegation, but also the mufti of Kazakhstan Absattar Derbisali-Hajji, the Deputy Mufti of Crimea, the counselor mufti of Tajikistan supported the idea. I personally do not change the position and work on practical issues to implement our shared vision into reality. In particular, we jointly with Ravil Gaynutdin during his official visit to Kyrgyzstan, December 2 this year, told reporters that to date, the Statute on the Council of Muftis and Ulema Council of the CIS countries has been already prepared, as well as a plan of specific, practical joint actions to realize our common ideas. It is very important, in my opinion, that the establishment of the Council of Muftis, and Ulema Council of the CIS countries was supported by the elected President of Kyrgyzstan Atambaev.

What are the benefits of participation in the Council of Ulema and Muftis Council for Kyrgyzstan can get?

We see the practical benefits of cooperation with the Russian Muftis Council. In recent years, the real work of collaboration has been taken place. We participate in various activities and projects. This year I participated in the evening of Mawlid al-Naby, our participant from Kyrgyzstan took part in the International Competition Quran reciters in Moscow. In addition, the Russian Muftis Council published literature inn kyrgyz language. And it is worth mentioning the fact that my work is covered by a variety of media resources of the Publishing House "Medina": the web site "Islam in the CIS" is working, an anthology of the same name is being printed. There is a promotion of my ideas through the newspaper of Eurasian Muslims "Medina al-Islam", for which I am grateful to the leadership of the Publishing House "Medina." We are grateful to Mufti Ravil Gaynutdin for his visit to Kyrgyzstan, and for his friendly support and assistance he provided to us in every way, and for his speech on television. At all our meetings we always remember that in heavy times and moments for Kyrgyzstan the first people who give us a helping hand are Russian Muslims. It is Russian Muslims who helped us in the days of the bloody events of 2010 in Osh and Jalal-Abad, sending a delegation with the peace mission.

This step of the Russian Muftis Council  was also discussed in detail at the meeting with President Almazbek Atambayev, who also thanked the delegation of Russian Muslims, and Mufti Ravil Gaynutdin personally for the help and support.
