As a result of plane crash of the Tyumen passenger ATR-72 aircraft were 31 people died, another 12 were taken to hospital in serious condition. The Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, the leader of the Religious Board of Muslims of European part of Russia, Mufti Ravil Gaynutdin expressed his condolences:
On behalf of the Russian Muftis Council and the Religious Board of Muslims of
European part of Russia I express our sincere condolences to the families of
those killed in a plane crash in Tyumen.
The loss of loved ones is one of the hardest tests that fall to the lot of
man. In this difficult hour, when our whole country is shocked by what had
happened, the best expression of our sympathy is feasible assistance to the
victims and our prayers for the souls of the dead. May the Almighty bestow them
with His mercy and forgiveness, because according to Islamic teachings, "Allah's
mercy in front of His wrath". And may Almighty God grant patience to the nearest
of the victims and strengthen them in this world life and next life.
