By order of the Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, his deputies Mufti Rushan Abbyasov and Ildar Galeev arrived in Iran to participate in the farewell ceremony for the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The ceremony, attended by foreign leaders and state and religious figures from dozens of countries, began today at the Mosalla prayer complex in Tehran and will continue over several days in various cities of Iran and Iraq. The burial itself will take place in the hometown of Ayatollah Khamenei – Mashhad.

The representatives of the RBM expressed condolences to the brotherly Iranian people on behalf of Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and the entire multimillion-strong Muslim ummah of Russia.
