On a working visit to the State of Qatar, Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, met with Sheikh Malullah Abdulrahman Al Jaber, Head of the Organising Committee of the Qatar International Quran Recitation Competition named after Jasim bin Muhammad bin Thani.

The meeting was attended by Ildar Galeyev, Deputy Chairman of the RBM of the Russian Federation, Head of the International Department, and heads of specialised departments of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Qatar.

During the meeting Rushan Hazrat conveyed to his Qatari colleagues words of greetings on behalf of the Chairman of the RBM of the Russian Federation Chief Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and thanked for the existing constructive cooperation. The parties highly appreciated the events jointly organised last year, including the XXII Moscow International Quran Recitation Contest, spiritual and theatrical production ‘Treasures of the Quran’, interactive exhibition ‘The World of the Quran’ and the Muslim Cinema Week. The participants of the meeting discussed plans for the development of cooperation in the current year, including the implementation of projects in religious, spiritual-educational, humanitarian and cultural spheres.
