A round table discussion on "Bilateral relations: results of 2011, prospects for 2012 and estimate the dynamics of the relationship over the past 3 years" took place.

The discussion is timed to the expiration of the job responsibilities of the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Belarus and Russia Hamid Awaluddin.

In the course of the event the following topics were discussed: dynamics and prospects of Russian-Indonesian relations in politics, the dynamics and prospects of Russian-Indonesian relations in business, the dynamics and prospects of Russian-Indonesian relations in the socio-cultural sphere.

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Rushan Abbyasov in his speech said that over the years of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Hamid Awaluddin work Russian-Indonesian cooperation has been fruitful and effective.

The changes in education were defined. For example, in 2009 an agreement on mutual understanding with the Islamic state universities of Jakarta, Malang and Dzhogdzhakarta was signed. At present, the program enrolled 35 students. There were two visits of the delegation of the Russian Muftis Council, and negotiations were held with ministries and agencies, major Muslim organizations and the Council of Ulema of Indonesia, with which the conclusion of a cooperation agreement is scheduled to next year.

The Chief of Staff Rushan Abbyasov expressed gratitude to Ambassador of Indonesia Hamid Awaluddin for productive work and the strengthening of Russian-Indonesian relations, and congratulated the award of the Order "Al-Fahr", which was handed to him November 25 by the Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
