The Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin was invited today to the Kremlin, where in the St. George's Hall Muftis the Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly of Russia - the annual address of President of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly of Russian Federation – was announced.

In the commentary, which Mufti gave to a number of media at the end of the ceremony, the Chairman of the RMC said: "The address included a promise to the future, that  we are striving for stability and a strong and prosperous Russia, responsible for the execution of tasks at all levels."

Ravil Gaynutdin, in particular, noted that the part of the President's Address, where he again stressed that Russia - a multinational and multi-religious state, largely determines the need for efforts towards the further consolidation of society, in the way of continuing the dialogue and developing a strong position in the fight against extremism.

According to the Russian Constitution, the President annually addresses to the Federal Assembly with a message on the situation in the country and main directions of domestic and foreign policy.

On announcement of the document in the Kremlin members of the Government, the Chairmen of the Constitutional, Supreme and Supreme Arbitration Courts, Attorney General, the chairman of the Central Election Commission, the head of the Accounting Chamber, the State Council, heads of major denominations and representatives of the Public Chamber of Russia are usually invited.

The Address of the Russian President to the Federal Assembly is a programming political and legal document that expresses the vision of the head of state strategic directions of development of Russia in the near future. It includes both the provision of political, economic, ideological points, and specific proposals for legislative work of the Parliament.
