Completing the mission of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Russia, Mr. Hamid Avaludin expressed his desire to pay a farewell visit to the spiritual leader of Muslims of Russia Ravil Gaynutdin.

"Despite the fact that my mission ends this year, the cooperation will not be interrupted. I will visit the Russian students in Indonesia, "- Mr. Ambassador said in his address during today's meeting at the residence of the RMC.

Inspired by the architectural beauty of St. Basil's Cathedral, Mr. Ambassador shared his dream: "I would like to build a mosque in Indonesia similar to the St. Basil's Cathedral. This mosque symbolically reflects our relationship. "

The Chairman RMC Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin suggested visitor a historical fact: St. Basil’s Chathedral, symbolizing Russia, was originally built in Kazan, as Khan's Mosque. In 1552, after the conquest of Kazan by Ivan the Terrible, it was decided to destroy the temple and build exactly the same in Moscow, to recreate it. The temple was erected Volga Bulgars masters. "Undoubtedly, this mosque could be built in Indonesia," – the Mufti said.

Ravil Gaynutdin thanked Ambassador Hamid Avaludin for the mission, which was beautifully executed. "Within three years, much has been done. The relations with the Muslims of Russia and Indonesia have been established,"- the Mufti said. The parties agreed to continue to pave the way for effective and close cooperation.

Mr. Hamid expressed his gratitude to the Russian Muftis Council, to the leadership and staff for their participation, assistance and cooperation. He also noted the cordiality and goodwill, which was manifested to him by RMC employees.

The meeting ended with a solemn dinner on behalf of the Ambassador's at the residence of the Russian Muftis Council, who introduced the features of a traditional Indonesian cuisine.
