VI International Festival of Muslim Cinema!

I warmly welcome you by the traditional Muslim greeting Assalam alaikum wa wa rahmatullayi Barakah! Peace to you, Allah's mercy and His grace.

I sincerely wish peace and prosperity, much success to all contestants, creative longevity to our Festival of Muslim Cinema.

Five years ago on the initiative of the Russian Mufties Council, thanks to the support of the President of the Republic Tatarstan, Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic, for the first time in Kazan the International Festival of Muslim Cinema was held. This festival is supported by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam N. Minnikhanov and thanks to great work by the organizers and sponsors.

Our festival aims to strengthen dialogue and understanding between peoples and religions, promoting morality and high spirituality and the idea of humanism. Films of our festival reject by the power of art  violence and oppose the vices.

Humanistic values of Islam and other religions have great spiritual and moral potential, they proclaim the good, tolerance, compassion, peace and harmony.

Over the years the festival has proved its relevance and necessity, has taken a worthy place in the list of eminent film-index of the country, has become one of the most exciting cultural events of our country and the Islamic world.

With kind prayers I declare the VI Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema open.
