“We offered 11 places on the outskirts of Moscow, where Muslims would like to see the mosque, and where there is a need for their construction, as hundred thousand of believers live there”, - as the head of the Russian Mufties Council Ravil Gaynutdin said in his interview with “Portal-Credo.Ru”.

"We almost at the same time y with the Russian Orthodox Church appealed to city authorities on the need for the construction of mosques to meet the needs of Muslims. And an agreement was reached ", - Gaynutdin said.

According to him, the Russian Mufties Council determined in which areas of Moscow there was a need for placement of mosques, and during the meeting of the traditional religions of Russia with the mayor of Moscow the leadership of the Moscow government agreed with that. "Then the mayor, in the presence of senior representatives of the ROC, appealed to all leaders of religious movements with a question. He said that he agreed with the leadership of the ROC on the allocation of 200 plots for construction of new temples and agreed with the Muftiat to allocate land for the construction of mosques - one mosque in every district, "- the mufti said, emphasizing that today there were only four mosques for one and half million Muslims who live in Moscow.
