World Public Forum "Dialogue of Civilizations" in Greece Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of European Russia is taking part in 11th annual World Public Forum "Dialogue of Civilizations" in Rhodes, Greece. The event has brought together more than 500 political and community leaders, religious figures, scientists and experts.

A special discussion this year will be devoted to the section "Religion and Peace". "Christian-Muslim dialogue that the forum devotes much attention to, is very important these days. In modern world, religion can also be used to achieve ideological dominance," said founder of the forum Vladimir Yakunin, president of JSC Russian Railways, answering the question of RIA Novosti about the particular approach of Rhodes Forum to the interfaith dialogue.

According to the agency, Rhodes Forum is taking steps to settle Syrian conflict. A special Sunni-Shi'a round table was organized within the framework of the forum. It is moderated by Dr Chandra Muzaffar, President of the International Movement "For a Just World".

According to the key participants of the forum, development of Sunni-Shi'a dialogue and observance of the norms of international war will help stop the violence in Syria and solve other problems of the Arab world in a peaceful way.
