Rushan Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, visited the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Moscow, where he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ahmad Al-Saati.

Rushan Abbyasov conveyed to Mr Ambassador the greetings on behalf of the chairman of the RMC Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and thanked him for his efforts aimed at the development of Russian-Bahraini relations in religious, educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

During the meeting the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations through the implementation of joint projects and programmes within the framework of the existing Memorandum of Cooperation.

AT the end of the visit Rushan Hazrat presented Mr Ambassador with the book "100 Wonderful Facts about the Quran in Russia", published by the Publishing House "Chitai" during the XXI Moscow International Quran Recitation Contest. He also noted that Bahraini Qur'an reciters participate in this competition every year, demonstrating their professionalism and talent in terms of recitation and knowledge of the Holy Scripture.
