Rusian Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the Russia Muftis Council, deputy chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, visited the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Moscow, where he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Hamoud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwayh. The meeting was attended by Ildar Galeev, deputy chairman of the RMC and head of the International Department of the RBM of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting Rushan Abbyasov conveyed to Mr Ambassador greetings and best wishes on behalf of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, chairman of the RBMRF and the RMC. The parties discussed the issues related to cooperation and implementation of joint projects in 2024. Rushan Abbyasov gave Mr Ambassador a letter addressed to the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments of Oman Mohammed bin Said Al-Mamari, which contained proposals for the development of bilateral relations in religious, cultural and educational spheres.

The first deputy chairman of RMC highly appreciated the level of organisation of the international exhibition "Risalat Assalam" held by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments of Oman, and suggested that the next exhibition and relevant events should take place in Russia.

Mr. Hamoud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwayh expressed his gratitude to Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and the organisations he represents for their willingness to cooperate, contribution to strengthening ties between the peoples of Russia and Oman and expressed hope for the successful implementation of joint projects.
