The RBMRF Charity Fund of the Russian Federation helped open a field hospital for the wounded in Gaza. It will provide urgent and qualified medical care, including initial assessment, drug therapy, and, if necessary, surgeries.

A field hospital for the injured has been opened in the south of the Gaza Strip thanks to the help of the Zakat charity foundation of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, said the fund's general director Suleiman Adzhiev.

"A field hospital has been opened in the town of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. The people are arriving from all corners <...>, including the north of Gaza, as the situation there is the most difficult because of the destroyed infrastructure and lack of hospitals. The Zakat foundation has raised the funds required for construction and purchase of the necessary supplies," Adzhiyev said.

He said that the hospital was attended by representatives of the partner foundation Hayat Yolu, which acts as an intermediary between the Zakat Foundation and the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The military hospital is now equipped with 20 beds and necessary medical devices. It will provide urgent and qualified medical care, including initial examination, drug therapy, and surgery if needed. "This is the first project of this kind in Gaza. Construction of a similar hospital nearby is already underway," noted the foundation's CEO.

In October the head of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation Ravil Gainutdin reported that  more than 85 million rubles were collected in Russia for the affected residents of Palestine. In addition,he mentioned that the "Zakat" foundation had earlier raised funds to help the Russian citizens arriving from the Gaza Strip.
