A delegation from the United Arab Emirates headed by Omar Al-Suwaidi, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the UAE, paid a reference visit to the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. The guests were received Rushan Abbyasov, First Deputy Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council, Deputy Chairman of the Religious board of Muslims of the Russian Federation.

Rushan Abbyasov conveyed greetings on behalf of the leader of Russian Muslims, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, and offered a guided tour of the mosque. He provided the visitors with the information about its history, the reconstruction period and the opening held in 2015 with the participation of the presidents of Russia, Turkey and Palestine. He also added that this mosque remains a major venue for meetings with high foreign delegations and religious events, including the Moscow International Quran Recitation Competition.

Mr Omar Al-Suwaidi said that he was really impressed with the beauty of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. He also expressed his gratitude to Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin and the institutions led by the Mufti for their activities.

It should be noted that the visit of the UAE delegation headed by Mr Omar Al-Suwaidi to Russia was related to his participation in the International Export Forum "Made in Russia", which took place this week at the Manezh International Exhibition Centre.
