In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful!


We were utterly devastated and shocked by inhuman Israeli armys' deadly strike on Al-Ahli Hospital at Gaza, which took the lives of hundreds of people, including women, children and the elderly. Most of the victims were family members who fled their homes because of the never-ending shelling and imminent full-scale invasion.

Indeed, we all belong to Allah and to Him is our return. We mourn the lost lives and share the pain of the Palestinian people.

People went to the hospital hoping for help and safety. But the Israeli military will never stop: its bombs and rockets have already targeted refugees, journalists and humanitarian workers.

This strike is a crime against humanity, just like the Sabra, Shatila and Srebrenica massacres. It is a true act of genocide against the Palestinians.

Israel has not only deprived 2.3 million people (40 per cent of them being minors) of water, food and electricity, condemning them to a painful death. People are now being killed right where they sought protection.

Palestinians only want to live in their own state, on their ancestors' land, raise their children and pray in their sacred mosques and churches.

We cannot just condemn what has happened once again. We demand urgent action to protect the civilians of Gaza. The international community must stop Israel's aggression, blockade and occupation of Palestinian territories. Israel must comply with UN resolutions and allow the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

We welcome initiatives to send international peacekeepers to the borders of the Gaza Strip and to hold an international conference with the active participation of UN Security Council member states, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, the League of Arab States, the European Union, etc. to resolve this problem that treatens the global stability.
