Imam-Mukhtasib of the Omsk region Daulet Baltabayev, plenipotentiary representative of the Chairman of the RBMRF in the North Federal District,took part in the Third Regional Conference on Islamic Unity (proximity of madhabs) on behalf of the Russian Federation. Scholars from Iran, Iraq, Russia, Georgia and Turkey discussed the issues of Islamic unity for the sake of strengthening common values.

The organiser of the conference — The World Forum for Prosimity of Islamic Schools of Thought — held the event in the city of Urmia, West Azerbaijan Province (Islamic Republic of Iran).

On the sidelines of the conference Daulet Baltabayev also met Ayatollah Hamid Shahriyari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Prosimity of Islamic Schools of Thought, to whom he conveyed greetings on behalf of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, thanked him for the invitation to the conference and presented a memorable gift.
