Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Moscow, Mr. Mehmet Samsar, at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

The religious leader of the Russian Muslims congratulated the head of the Turkish diplomatic mission on the successful presidential elections in Turkey and sent his best wishes for to the elected head of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin noted that Russian Muslims welcomed Recep Tayyip Erdogan's victory in the democratic and competitive elections, since the Turkish leader strives to strengthen the national sovereignty and to protecting traditional institutions and moral values.

In his turn, Mehmet Samsar expressed his readiness to maintain close cooperation, including implementation of joint projects under the cooperation agreement concluded between the RBMRF and the Directorate of Religious Affairs of Turkiye.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkiye presented Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin with Recep Tayyip Erdogan's book "A Fairer World is Possible" translated into Russian, where Turkish leader reflects on the current global challenges.

In his turn, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin presented the guest with an album entitled "The Eastern Perspective in Russian Fine Arts of 19th-21st Centuries" published by the Medina Publishing House and the Marjani Foundation.

The meeting was also attended by Mustafa Cem Gunduz, First Councillor of the Turkish Embassy in Moscow, Omer Faruk Savuran, Councillor for Religious Affairs of the Turkish Embassy, Rais Yanglichev, employee of the Turkish Embassy, Damir Mukhetdinov, First Deputy Chairman of the RBMRF, Rector of the Moscow Islamic Institute, Ildar Galeyev, Deputy Chairman of the International Department of the RBMRF, and others.
