On Monday, March 20, during a working visit Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, general director of the Solidarnost charity fund, met Abdurrahman Cetin, deputy general director of the Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi charity fund. It should be noted that Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi is under the jurisdiction of the Presidency of religious affairs of Turkey.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues regarding bilateral relationships. Rushan hazrat Abbyasov conveyed greetings on behalf of mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and thanked the Turkish party for supporting a number of charity events. In particular, he noted that for the last few years a support programme for those in need during Ramadhan and Eids had been successfully accomplished.

In his turn, Mr Abdurrahman Cetin expressed a high opinion of the events held in cooperation with the Russia Muftis Council, adding that the Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi direction considered spiritual boards headed by mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin as reliable partners.

“The charity campaigns that your fund holds in the Russian regions are very important for the Muslims of our country. By running such joint campaigns for the needy we claim that Russian and Turkish Muslims have strong cooperation and reliable ties in the humanitarian field, which can serve an example to others”, – said Rushan hazrat Abbyasov.

The parties discussed current projects and plans for future. It is expected that Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi and the Solidarnost charity fund will exchange visits in the nearest future.
