Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met Huseyin Dirioz, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey in Moscow.

Emin Kiraz, advisor on political and religious affairs, and Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the RMC and the SBMRF, also attended the meeting.
The parties got acquainted with each other and discussed the most important issues. The previous day the Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council had made a statement related to the cease-fire in Syria and expressed full support of the cease-fire agreements and peace negotiations in Syria.

«We praise Allah for answering to the prayers of the millions of His servants. Due to the efforts of politicians, diplomatic workers, and people of good will the principal peace-making measures have been taken”, — said the religious leader of Russian Muslims at the meeting with Huseyin Dirioz.

The mufti noted that Turkey's concern about the policy of our country after the Ambassador's murder was appreciated in Russia, and emphasized the importance of official messages of the Minister of Religious Affairs of Turkey, Dr Mehmet Gormez, sent to the leader of Russian Muslims.

The mufti expressed deep condolences in connection with the fatalities caused by terroristic attacks that happened on 10 December in Istanbul and on 17 December in the Kayseri province.

The Ambassador expressed his support of the initiative of the Russian Muslims' leader, who suggested strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and creating a special working party between the Russia Muftis Council and the Diyanet.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey in Moscow, Huseyin Dirioz, voiced approval of existing agreements on cooperation and thanked the leader of Russian Muslims for his stance in maintaining dialogue between our countries and for his visit to Turkey after the failed coup.

After the meetings everyone took part in the Juma and Janazah prayer in the memory of the victims of the plane crash that happened near Sochi.
