RMC and Algeria cooperate in education Within the scope of cooperation between the Russia Muftis Council and the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Algeria, the students directed by the RMC and the SMBRF received several quotas for studying in the Algerian universities.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of Algeria, with which a Memorandum on cooperation had been signed earlier, also provided assistance in this matter.

In 2016 a Russian student Nasrulla Nasibullin was sent to Algeria upon this programme.

For 3 years he will study at the Islamic Sciences Department in the Yusuf bin Jiddah Algerian University located in the country’s capital. This university was founded over 100 years ago and is now one of the leading universities in Algeria and the Northern Africa. Many Algerian writers and politicians graduated from this university, such as Albert Camus, Nobel prize winner in literature, and Lakhdar Brahimi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria.

It should be noted that among the lecturers of this department there are famous scholars from Egypt, Kuwait and Tunisia, and the diploma of this university is highly valued in all Arab countries.
The opportunity to send students abroad for studying in different universities is a result of longstanding and fruitful cooperation between the RMC and specialized institutions in Arab countries. Within the scope of agreements and signed memorandums on cooperation the RMC sends students and imams to Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt and other countries.
