On Thursday, 24 November, the second secretary of the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow, Conrad Richardson, met the first deputy of the Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, The meeting took place at the initiative of the Swedish party.

During the meeting Rushan hazrat Abbyasov told about the activity of spiritual boards, organised events and projects. The parties also discussed the issued of immigrants' integration and opposition to terrorism and extremism.

«There are about 500 000 Muslims in Sweden, therefore we pay great attention to the the question of development of the Muslim community in Sweden. I believe that the cooperation of Russian and Swedish Muslims will be mutually beneficial», — noted the Swedish diplomat.

On behalf of the leader of Russian Muslims, mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, the first deputy of the Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia invited the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden t visit the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

The parties agreed to maintain long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
