Today in the residence of the Russia Mufti Council Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, met Abdulaziz Al-Adwani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait in Russia.

The meeting was attended by Jamal Al-Rifai, secretary of the embassy, Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, first deputy Chairman of the RMC and the SBMRF, and Ildar Galeyev, head of International department.

During the meeting the parties discussed current relationship between Russia and Kuwait and interaction of Russian spiritual boards and the Ministry of awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait. They also set out the plans for further cooperation.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin informed the Ambassador about international activity of the RMC and SBMRF and steps taken in order to develop relationships with Islamic organizations of China, Europe and Balkans.

The Ambassador expressed a high opinion of these activities, noting that expanding cooperation and willingness to work together are the evidence of solid reputation of the RMC and the SBMRF and of the wise moderate path chosen by Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

«Your wise attitude on many issues related to domestic and foreign problems is to be admired”, — said the Ambassador, who also invited the spiritual leader of Russian Muslims to visit Kuwait in the nearest future.

The parties agreed to develop further cooperation.
