Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin meets Ambassador of Turkey The Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey Umit Yardim. The Ambassador is going to terminate his mission and to leave for Turkey.

The meeting was also attended by Rushan Abbyasov, first deputy chairman of the RMC and the SBMRF, the Embassy counsellor for political and religious affairs Emin Kiraz, and the head of the International Department Ildar Galeyev.

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin thanked the head of the Turkish diplomatic mission for active participation in the programmes and projects of the Russian Muftis Council.

The Parties summarized the results of their cooperation and achievements. In particular, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin spoke about the forthcoming plans, hoping for further contribution of the Turkish side.
“From my side I can assure you that the Government of Turkey pays great attention to the development of relations with Russian Muslims in cultural and religious spheres. The next Ambassador of Turkey in Moscow will adhere to this policy”, – said Umit Yardim.

The parties also discussed a number of international and regional issues, including the results of the Eurasian Islamic Council, which recently took place in Istanbul.
