Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin leads delegation at Eurasian Islamic Council session The delegation of the Russian Muftis Council is going to Istanbul in order to participate in a session of the 9th Eurasian Islamic Council.
The delegation led by Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council, Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, also includes co-chairmen of the RMC and some chairmen of regional Spiritual Boards of Muslims.
The event will take place on 11-14 October in Istanbul. The leading muftis, scholars and religious leaders from Russia, Trans-Caucasian region, Baltic countries, Western and Eastern Europe are expected to attend the event.
The event will be held at the initiative of the Presidency of Religious Affairs under the patronage of Recep Tayip Erdogan, President of Turkey. For the first time the Eurasian Islamic Council took place in 1995 in Ankara.
It should be reminded that this August there was a meeting of members of the Presidium of the Eurasian Islamic Council in Ankara, which was also attended by the leader of Russian Muslims, mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin. He visited Ankara by the invitation of Mehmet Gormez, Minister of the Presidenct of Religious Affairs.
During that visit the parties discussed the issues of expansion of bilateral and mutually profitable cooperation for our countries in the field of religious education and spiritual upbringing. During that time the leader of Russian Muslims participated in the work of the Presidium of the Eurasian Islamic Council.
Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin will be one of the speakers at the session of the 9th Eurasian Islamic Council.
