Eco-Halal principles discussed in Astana Rashid Ismailov, Chairman of the RMC Committee for ecological issues, met the head of the Spiritual Administration of Kazakhstan, Galanbek Mazhiev, in Astana.

The partied discussed joint efforts aimed at promoting Islamic ecological ethics within the framework of international cooperation.

Rashid Ismailov informed the head of the Spiritual Administration of Kazakhstan about formation of the Committee for ecological issues under the Russian Muftis Council, outlined its goals and objectives, as well as activity areas, especially in terms of social and educational work with Muslims.

Galanbek Mazhiev took a favourable view of the Committee’s efforts aimed at including the questions of Islamic ecological ethics in the current international agenda.
The parties agreed to provide information exchange regarding the development of the Eco-Halal dimension.

Rashid Ismailov is convinced that Kazakhstan and the Central Asia constitute a promising region for introducing the principles of Islamic ecological ethics, green technologies development and promoting environmentally-friendly business standards.
