Mufti of Tripoli and Northern Lebanon, Malik Shaar, visited the Moscow Cathedral mosque.

The guest met Islam hazrat Zaripov, imam of the Moscow Cathedral mosque. Ildar Galeyev, head of the International department, also attended the meeting.

Islam hazrat Zaripov greeted him on behalf of the mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin. The parties discussed cooperation in the field of culture and education.  Islam hazrat Zaripov told shaikh Malik Shaar about life of Russian Muslims, their rights and freedoms according to the Russian legislation. The guest expressed a particular interest in activity on restoring the Russian school of Islamic theology.
Sheikh Malik Shaar was also interested in the events happening in Russian Muslims' lives nowadays and expressed readiness for cooperation and exchange in cultural and educational spheres.
After the meeting the guests had an opportunity to see the renovated building of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.
