Experts from Yemen conduct taraweeh prayers in different regions of Russia This Ramadhan highly qualified experts in Qur’anic sciences fr om Yemen were invited by the Russian Muftis Council. They were to conduct taraweeh prayers and classes reciting and interpretation of the Qur’an during the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Every year the Russian Muftis Council invites foreign Qur’an reciter to Russia, which has become a custom. Such projects would not have been possible without long-term international activity, establishing contacts with foreign religious organizations and state institutions, following a classical understanding of Islam, which has always been characteristic of Russian Muslims.

Imams from Yemen invited this year conducted taraweeh prayer and Qur'an reciting classes in the Kirov region, Ryazan, Perm, Chita and Moscow. During the month of Ramadhan the imams conducted taraweeh prayers wh ere they read the whole Qur'an, which was a special event: for Muslims of Ryazan it was the first full recitation of Qur’an over many years. For Muslim communities in the Russian regions it was an opportunity to fill this blessed month with a perfect recitation of the Qur’an, to increase spirituality, to aspire to the endless mercy and power of the Almighty Creator.
  
It should be noted that all invited imams were hafizs, meaning they knew the Holy Qur'an by heart, knew several types of recitation and had advanced knowledge about exegesis of the Qur'anic ayahs. Believers were happy to attended the courses organized by the imams during Ramadhan. In the Moscow Cathedral mosque apart from taraweeh prayers Yusuf Addandani conducted courses for everyone, as well as special classes for imams and teachers in Muslim educational institutions of Moscow.
