Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin met Rashid Ismailov, the director of the Green Standards Centre of ecological certification, Chairman of the board of the National Centre for green construction.
Rushan hamrat Abbyasov, who participated in the preparation of the Statement for establishment of the Commission on ecological development under the expert council of the Russian Muftis Council, also took part in the meeting.
Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin greeted the guest and noted that Allah the Almighty commanded us to “cause no corruption upon the earth after its reformation”, that means we must protect human life and health, organic and inorganic life of the Earth and the whole Universe. “The Holy Qur’an is one of the most ancient sources of ecological laws. It contains instructions regarding ecological and hygienic issues, as well as healthy lifestyle”, — said the Mufti.
The guest expressed gratitude for being invited to the Moscow Cathedral Moscow during the Holy month of Ramadhan. He added that he saw a new approach to the ecological problem in the speeches of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.
“Our umma is no stranger to these issues: we care about ecology of the Earth and ecology of human soul, — noted Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin. — Allah ordered us to eat only halal (allowed) food, which is even more important today, because the world has changed and the Creator’s care for the creature encompasses the changed environment. Nowadays we have to make efforts to get clean water, clean food, allowed and suitable for consumption”.

In the light of this Eco-Halal attitude the creation of the Commission on ecological development under the expert council of the Russian Muftis Council is supposed to take this issue to a higher level conditioned by current situation.
