Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin receives delegation from Finland Today after the jumah prayer mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chariman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, received a delegation of Finnish tatars led by Atiq Ali, head of Finnish Musim community. The delegation came to participate in the Niznhy Novgorod Tatars evening at the Ramadhan Tent.
After the Jumah Prayer Mufti Sheik Ravil Gaynutfin introduced the guests from Finland to the Muslims present in the Moscow Cathedral Mosque. After the Qur’an recitation everyone prayed for well-being and peace for all Muslims in the world.
During the meeting mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin provided the guests with some information about the new reconstructed Moscow Cathedral Moscow, whose opening ceremony was held on 23 September 2015 and was attended by Vladimir Putin, Preseident of Russia. The spiritual leader of Russian Muslims described the stages of the Mosque's construction, specific features of its architecture and its social importance for Muslims, Islam and Russia in general. He said that even after expansion, when the size of the Mosque increased from 970 m2 to 19000 m2, there was still shortage of space.
Apart from that, the Head of the RMC and the SBMRF informed the guests about interfaith relationships in Russia and events conducted under the umbrella of the RMC and the SBMRF.
He said that Finnish and Russian Muslims had close ties and demonstrated mutual respect. «The Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia regularly sends imams to Finland for internship”, — he added, noting that the current imam in Helsinki, Ravil Belyaev, was a gradute from the Moscow Islamic University.
The representatives of the Finnish Muslim community were fascinated by the Moscow Cathedral Mosque and accepted the invitation for the  Niznhy Novgorod Tatars evening at the Ramadhan Tent, which is taking place this evening.
