Mufti Ilduz Iskhakov to participate in the 26th General conference called “Role of religious organizations of the Arab Muslim world in countering challenges". Under the instruction of Mufti shaikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Mufti Ilduz Iskhakov (member of the Presidium of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Mordovia) is going to participate in the 26th General conference called “Role of religious organizations of the Arab Muslim world in countering challenges”. The event was organized by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This year the conference takes place in the Egyptian city of Aswan.

According to the organizers, over 400 participants from 35 states applied for participation. The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs of Egypt, Ahmed Agiba, noted that the event was aimed at establishing contacts and cooperation between different Muslim religious organizations throughout the world, coordinating efforts to combat radical ideas and encouraging moderate and tolerant attitude. The organizers believe that Islamic organizations “should play a more active role in promoting the true image of Islam, and should unite in the face of current problems and challenges”.

Previously the Russian delegation that visited this annual event was led by Rushan hazrat Abbyasov, first Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council and the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Russia, and Ildar hazrat Alyautdinov, Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Moscow.
