A meeting with the honourable guests of Moscow Halal Expo A friendly meeting between the Chairman of Russia Muftis Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin and the honourable guests of the 5th annual exhibition Moscow Halal Expo 2014 that opened today took place in RMC residency.

The issues of strengthening brotherly ties between nations were discussed by Chief muftis of Poland (Tomasz Miśkiewicz), Lithuania (Romualdas Jakibauskas), Estonia (Eldar Muhamedshin) and Belarus (Abubekir Shabanovich) as well as the co-chairman of Russia Muftis Council, mufti of North Ossetia Hadzhi-Murat Gatsalov, director of department for fatwas and comparative jurisprudence of the Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Abdelqahir Mohammed Qamar, chief imam of the central mosque of Astana, Kazakhstan, Nauryzbay Utpinov and others, according to SAMER press service.

Mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin thanked the honourable guests for taking part in Moscow Halal Expo 2014 and expressed his hope that cooperation and brotherly ties between the Muslims of Eurasian continent will only grow. He presented the main international projects of Russia Muftis Council, such as Mawlid an-Nabi, Moscow International Qur'an Reciting Competition and the Muslim Forum, and stressed that these projects involving tens of countries and thousands of visitors are carried out with cooperation and support from the Russian state.

The guests, in their turn, expressed their intention to strengthen bilateral relations and spiritual traditions that are the common legacy of the Muslim nations of Eurasia, to organize joint projects aimed at education and spread of spiritual values. Muftis of Russia's neighbouring countries thanked Russia Muftis Council and personally mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin for his commitment to consolidation of Muslim communities of Eurasia and large-scale international projects.

In the end of the meeting, mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin informed the guests on the progress of reconstruction of Moscow Jum'ah Mosque.
