Thailand's first Halal Assembly, organized under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha, took place between December 28 and December 30, 2014, in the country's capital Bangkok.

The assembly included an exhibition, seminars and a conference.

Indeed, on December 29 and 30 the assembly hosted 7th conference of HaSIB (Halal Science, Industry & Business).

The list of organizers includes the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand (CICOT), the Halal Standard Institute of Thailand (HSIT), the Halal Science Center of Chulalongkorn University and the Halal Development Council (HDC).

Russia was represented at the event by the CEO deputy on international affairs of the International Center of Standardization and Certification "Halal" Samat Sadykov and XEMAtest company specializing in development of test systems that determine the halal compliance of food products. Russian representatives also presented the project of Moscow Halal Expo.

Thailand is actively involved in halal industry. Indeed, the Thai exposition took central place at Moscow Halal Expo last year. At the exposition, the country presented its R&D on halal products and services, halal tourist opportunities,Thai halal cuisine and the goods of the country's main halal producers.
