RMC News2009-12-28 00:00:00 “One of the main goal of Russian Muslim organizations is to strengthen ties between Russia and Islamic World”“Our President Dmitry Medvedev during his visit to Moscow Cathedral Mosque in July 2009 turned to Russian Muslim Leaders requesting to help in recreation the atmosphere of trust between Russia and Islamic world” – this and many other topic were mentioned during the meeting in the residence of the Russian Mufties Council with the Deputy of the General Secretary of OIC for Political Affairs, Abdulla Alim.
The honorable guest and accompanying him people were hosted by the Chairman of the Russian Mufties Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gainutdin. Also the metting was attended by the representative of Political Department of OIC Tariq Bahiid, representative of Palestine Department of OIC Doctor Shakher Auvadz, representative of Information Department of OIC Makha Akiil, head of International Department of RMC Rushan hazrat Abbyasov and head of Science Department of RMC Farid Asadullin. The Chairman of RMC mufti sheikh Ravil Gainutdin informed the guest about the history of cooperation between Russian and Muslim countries, emphasizing that even a few years before the historic speech of Vladimir Putin in Kuala-Lumpur, which served as a sign of rapprochement with OIC and concluded in Russia’s entering OIC as an observer, the Russian Mufties Council initiated such rapprochement of our country, having made series of meeting and negotiations for further successful solution of this question. The spiritual leader of Russian Muslims paid attention to the events of the year, among which signing the series of memorandums and agreements between state and religious organizations of Muslim countries as well as holding in September 2009 the International Conference “Russia and Islamic world: partnership for the sake of stability”, which had a wide response in Russian and world press. The parties also discussed other questions of further mutual cooperation. |
