RMC News2009-12-22 00:00:00 Russia is intended to broaden dialogue with Islamic worldDecember 21 the opening of the fifth session of Strategic Vision Group “Russia – Islamic World” took place with partnership of Deputy Prime-Minister, Minister of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf , Minister of Justice of Kuwait Rashid alHammad. At the opening of the meeting the President of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-bek Yevkurov, who delivered the message of the President Dmitry Medvedev on his behalf. In his welcoming address the President of Russia said that the Strategic Vision Group serves as a platform for mutual exchange of experience in building harmonious relationships between representatives of different cultures and faiths. “Today turning to the partnership between civilizations becomes more timely. Broad and deep research of intercivilizational communication is intended to seek opportunities to improve situation in the world, to promote its sustainable development, to find adequate responses to modern challenges and threats. The Russian Federation as an observer in the OIC is intended to broaden the dialogue with Islamic world. I am sure that such active interaction will help to improve system of International relations, solving conflict situations at global and regional levels” – says the message of the President. The first Deputy of Minister of Islamic Affairs anf Awqaf of Kuwait Adel AlFlayh, the first Deputy of Chairman of Federation Council of RF Alexandr Troshin delivered the welcoming speeches during the session. On behalf of the Chairman of the Russian Mufties Council mufti sheikh Ravil Gainutdin the Head of International Department Rushan Hazrat Abbyasov spoke the welcoming address. During the session the ceremony of awarding the first Deputy of Minister of Islamic Afaairs and Awqaf of Kuwait Adel AlFalyah the award of first degree of “Al-Fahr”of Russian Muslims. Participants of the session said the need in rapprochement with Russia and Islamic world, including a constructive dialogue.
The first day of session the ceremony of signing the agreement of opening the AlVasatiya Centre in Moscow took place. The agreement was signed by the first Deputy Minister of Ilamic Affairs and Awqaf of Kuwait Adel alFalyah and head of science department of Russian board of Muslims Farid Asadllin. |
