Mufti sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, Chairman of Russia mufties Council met with Haled Mashaal, Chairman of Political bureau, chief of Movement of Islamic resistance HAMAS, in the residence of Russia mufties Council.

The delegation of movement HAMAS visited Russia upon the invitation of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Russia Mr. Lavrov. The purpose of visit of delegation to Moscow was discussion of questions of the Interpalestinian reconciliation and a situation around the third relic of Islam of Masdjid-al-Aksa.

During the meeting Ravil Gaynutdin noted: “Muslims of Russia with a heavy heart perceive a situation in Palestine. We condemn Israel’s policy directed on expansion of occupation of the earths of Palestine. Muslims of Russia condemn building of new Israeli houses in territory of East Jerusalem; support the termination of building of houses on the new occupied earths of Palestine, for the termination of excavation and a non-admission of destruction of the third relic of Islam of the mosque of Al-Aksa. Muslims of Russia address with prayers about that the Palestinian politicians came to consent among themselves and by that promoted reconciliation and calmness formation on the earth of Palestine”.

 Also head of RMC has noted activity of Haled Mashaal, and has expressed hope that activity of the head of the Political bureau will result by the reconciliation and the consent of the Palestinian people.

 “My colleagues and me in HAMAS are with the great pleasure in Russia muftiеs Council. It is second home for us. Each time when we visit Russia, visiting of RMC is an obligatory part of our program” Haled Mashaal stated.

, following the results of the negotiations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he noticed that the position of Russia consists in support of the Palestinian people. “We feel understanding from our Russian friends. This is the main thing”.

The Palestinian party has addressed for help of  Russia in the circumstances. “We together should declare to the Russian leadership:  interests of Russia coincide more with the Islamic world than with the West. The Russian Muslims should address this appeal to the heads of the states. We are united by brotherly feelings. We believe that in Russia there are sincere feelings in relation to our problem, in relation to us as a part of resistance to the policy of Israel”.

Also Haled Mashaal suggested that statements for lifting of a blockade from Gaza Strip sounded through Russian mass media.

Mufti Ravil Gainutdin answer noticed that Muslims of Palestine can count on support from the Muslims of Russia. “We will use the best efforts to inform the given information to the Muslim public of Russia to support you”.

 At the meeting the question of mutual relations of Russia with the Islamic world was discussed. In reply to an appeal of Haled Mashaal to develop mutual relations, head of RMC told about the conference which had passed in September, 2009 “Russia and the Islamic world: partnership for the sake of stability”, where visitors from more than 40 countries of the Islamic world, the countries of Europe, and also Indonesia, China, Malaysia participated at the conference.

Ravil Gaynutdin especially noted the speech of a mufti of Syria Ahmad Badruddin Hassun who appealed for further development of relations with the Islamic world. Besides, Chairman of RMC has noted, as in the performance it sharply criticized activity of Israel in relation to the Palestinian people that has been supported both politicians, and the wide public.

Following the results of conference the resolution has been adopted, which consider the point on solidarity with the Palestinian people, about protection of national interests of Palestinians, preservation of the earths of Palestine and condemnation of its occupation from outside Israel.

Mufti Ravil Gaynutdin told about President’s visit in July, 2009 to the Moscow Cathedral mosque and the meeting with Muslim headship of Russia during which the President addressed with the request to assist the leadership of our country in development of kind relations with the Islamic world, and also creation of atmosphere of trust to our country. It is true that Russia is today opened for the Islamic world and aspires to deepening of cooperation and strengthening of kind relations with the Arabic-Muslim world.

The parties agreed for further cooperation and upon termination of the meeting performed prayer in the Moscow cathedral mosque.

After the prayer Haled Mashaal told to the Moslems who had come to the Mosque, about present lice of the Palestinian people, about the situation around the Mosque of Al-Aksa, and appealed for giving possible support to the Palestinian people against destruction of the third relic of Islam - The Mosques of Al-Aksa.
